Karel Dufek, ceramic
From the craftsman to the artist
Karel Dufek was born in Hořice (* 1972), where many important czech artists come from. He brought a piece their talents and skills to Krnov region, where he had married into. His basic creative material is clay. He was working his way in this, from small kitchenware to brave artworks. After some time, he began to frame its surface composition and so he gave rise to an unusual ceramic painting.
